Resource and Referral: Resource and referral services provide employees with information and counseling about available child care options. This service is free to the public through our toll-free number and on our web site. Enhanced referrals are offered through corporate contracts. These referrals provide the family with more in depth information regarding the child care program as well as a vacancy check.
Providing Financial Assistance: Employers can help families with Dependant Care Spending Assistance Plan, Flexible Benefit Plan, Child Care Vouchers or Reimbursements. Child Care Options can assist employers with picking an option that would work best for their employees.
Flex Time and Leave Policies: Parents’ work schedules are interrupted by child care breakdowns, illnesses, and family needs that cost employers in lost work time. Employers can help avert these conflicts through flex-time and flexible leave policies. Child Care Options can assist you in examining the different options available.
Creating and Supporting Child Care Services: When employers identify a shortage of child care programs in the community, they can elect to provide or support the creation of those services themselves: on-site or near-site child care center, partnering with other employers, family child care networks, back-up or emergency care, sick child care, odd hour care, before/after school programs or summer camps. Contact Child Care Options for more information.
