Southern Kennebec Child Development Corporation is taking applications for its Early Care and Education programs in centers and family child care homes for children ages 6 weeks – 5 years and part day Head Start programs for children ages 3 – 5 years.

Centers and family child care homes are located in the following communities: Augusta, Gardiner, Maranacook area, Monmouth, Mt. Vernon, Pittston, Sidney, So. China, So. Gardiner, and Winthrop.

We also have an Early Head Start Expectant Families Program, a collaboration with KVCAP Kennebec Healthy Families and the Maine Parent Federation/Parents as Teachers Program for families who plan to enroll their newborn child in full day Early Head Start services.

Our programs provide quality services to children and families at low or no cost for eligible families. We serve children with special needs. We have information on the child care voucher program, through Child Care Options, that provides help with child care fees for all children in a family. Private rates are also available.

We will be in contact with you within two weeks after receiving your application.
