Child Care Resource and Referral

Child Care Options offers a variety of information and services to help child care providers. We strive to support child care providers in Kennebec and Somerset counties in an effort to increase the quality of care for all children.

We help parents locate child care that meets their needs. Families contact us to do a customized search for care, and we match them based on: type of care desired, child’s age, time and/or days of week care is needed, location of care. In addition we can narrow the search further according to the family’s needs. Example: If they prefer a smoke free environment, pet free, accredited program, type of curriculum, group size and ratio, provider’s experience, meal plan. That means that we need the information on your program so that we can refer children to your facility and keep your enrollment up! We provide this service FREE to providers. Please contact us at any time to make sure that you file is updated, or complete the Provider Profile and fax or email it back to us.
