Early Care & Education Program Application
SKCDC is accepting applications for our Early Care and Education Programs
Southern Kennebec Child Development Corporation is taking applications for its Early Care and Education programs for children and families. Programs available are Child Care services for ages 6 weeks to 5 years in Centers and Family Child Care homes, part-day Head Start programs for children ages 3 – 5 years, and Early Head Start Home-Based and Center-Based programs for families with infants and toddlers. We also partner with public schools to offer public pre-k programs in Augusta, Fayette, Monmouth, Mt. Vernon and Winthrop.
Centers and Family Child Care homes are located in the following communities: Augusta, Gardiner, Fayette / Maranacook area, Monmouth, Mt. Vernon, Pittston, Sidney, South China, South Gardiner, and Winthrop. Early Head Start Home-Based is primarily available for families who live in the Gardiner, South Gardiner, and Augusta area.
We also have an Early Head Start Expectant Families Program in collaboration with KVCAP Kennebec Healthy Families and the Maine Parent Federation Parents as Teachers Program for families who plan to enroll their newborn child in full-day Center-Based or Home-Based Early Head Start programs.
Our programs provide quality services to children and families at low or no cost for eligible families. We serve children with special needs. We have information on the child care voucher program that provides help with Child Care fees for all children in a family. Private rates are also available.
