At SKCDC, we believe that supporting children means supporting their entire family. That’s why we embrace the Whole Family Approach—a model that helps families build lasting stability by addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals.

In March, we are proud to highlight our collaboration with Whole Families as part of our “It Takes a Village” initiative.

Staff that have implemented the WFA have this to say about it:

“The Whole Family Approach is an important tool in helping families create lasting, positive change. By working closely with both parents and children, it helps identify the unique needs of each family member and connects them to the appropriate resources and support. This approach allows staff to take a more holistic view of the family dynamic, addressing not only immediate needs such as housing, food, or healthcare, but also long-term goals like employment, education, and personal development. The Whole Family Approach has a positive impact on the entire family.”
