Apprenticeship programs
SKCDC offers our employees professional development through registered apprenticeship programs in partnership with the Maine Department of Labor and Maine Roads to Quality.
What is a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) and how does it work for the early care and education workforce?
RAPS provide advanced knowledge and skills that are applied from on-the-job-learning through (free) MRTQ PDN Core Knowledge Training.
RAPS are an earn-while-you-learn model. As the apprentices gain more knowledge and skills, they receive wage increases, utilizing additional wage supplements provided to the Sponsoring Employers.
