In partnership with the Center for Workforce and Professional Development at Central Maine Community College, aspiring early childhood educators  receive 180 training hours, in-classroom experience and work-ready skills training. Participants ‘earn while they learn’ through this unique partnership. 

Take the first steps to becoming a qualified early childhood educator with a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. Participants who complete this certification program may have six credits applied towards an Associate in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education at Central Maine Community College.

Choose A Focus

Center-based infant and toddler care for ages birth – 36 months or 

Center-based preschool for ages 3 – 5 years

Participant Requirements

18 years of age

High School diploma, GED, or HiSet

U.S. Citizenship and/or authorization to work in the U.S.

Criminal background check and current vaccination records will be required by employers
